Italian pesto with basil
This delicate seasoning sauce with Italian basil, pine nuts and pecorino cheese is traditionally mixed into hot pasta.
Before serving, drizzle with Santini extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with shaved Parmesan or Pecorino cheese.
Pesto is also used as a decorative seasoning in other dishes, e.g., in minestrone.
Store in a cool place. Once opened, keep refrigerated and cover with olive oil if necessary.
